GungHo, in an effort to stop oversea people from abusing their online games, will NOT allow any more account/attraction ID creation after 11/28/2006 3PM JPN time. (About 24 hours from now.)

If you currently own a GungHo account, MAKE SURE your address you input in your account is valid so you lower the chance of having your account banned. USE FORGIEN ADDRESS, don't use make-up Japanese address. Do make up a valid name though.

The discussion about it on the other board.

NEW TIPS! :
1. do not curse at all
2. no arguing
3. no spamming/flooding chat
4. do not speak english at all if you can
5. don't say anything about jap that make them sad (ex: that outfit looks ugly)
6. try not to destroy economic
7. don't create more gungho acc
8. don't say you are from china
9. don't say you aren't white
10. say you love jap games and they pwnsalot

Especially #4. Try do all the chatting via phone/club chat. I know it can get hard 'cause there are two clubs on the server right now, but we can't risk getting ourselves banned.

So that explains what happened to Hoiste! He was saying something about losing his main character, but we couldn't really understand -_-
So along with the new wonderful changes comes the bad news >_<

hmm.. is there a way to change account information once you've set it?

Same question here... I have no idea what I put in back then... I'm willing to provide my valid address and all.

While I can partly understand that they want to stop any abuse, treathening to ban all foreign players seems rather over the top. Shouldn't they focus on having their GM sniff out who offending players are?

Or heck, they should just make an english version of the game then...

I find it hard to believe all or that many of the foreign players really misbehave that much...

Thought Hoiste said he's going to war or something like that? o_O; (I don't know, that's what Gerald told me... o_O; )

You can change your information, let me make a screenie tutorial real quick before heading to sleep...

Well, they're not banning anyone technically right now, except the ones that input their address wrong. (IE inputting the information under Big5 code, which is for traditional Chinese. It'll appear under Shift-JIS as garbage.) And I think it's not just Yogurting. It's all the games GungHo are hosting. The famous one being Ragnarok Online. I know there are foreign players playing on jRO, they prefer the community there better than say, iRO or euRO or whatever. (Hell one of the jRO players used to post on ROE and RI, not sure if he's still posting though.)

Anyways, quick tutorial. Click screenies for larger file.

Go to http://www.gungho.jp/ and login to your account.

After that, you'll receive a mail in your e-mail you registered the account with that contains the varification code, just copy and paste code into the box and hit the button down below. You'll be asked to relogin, do so.

Image

For the two lines for your home address, follow this format:

Line 1 - Country, State/Providence, City
Line 2 - Stree address, Zip code

Once everything is done, scroll down and click the button to left. (Too lazy to take screenie.) It will take you to confirmation screen. If all info is correct, hit the left button. If you want to change something, hit the right button.

That should be it.

That is to protect yourself from getting banned. = = Especially #4... I know there are JP players out there who doesn't like to see us chatting in pub using English. (And with all the incident we have right now, and GungHo disabling foregin IP from being able to sign up, being banned for having poor manner is the last thing you want.)

OK, sleep. Still can't believe that Valkyrie Wing got sold for 4mil... = =|||

Thanks for the help and guide Miyuki-chan! :D

And thanks also to those who helped ingame to update. Now let's all hoped we don't get banned which would be quite a shame and a very sad move for Gungho and the Japanese gaming community.

wait I don't really understand :( do I have to change my name too? because I gave a fake name, with both names in kanji because it wouldn't let me insert katakana :( do they check the names too or only the address?

edit: ah help please, those screens look completely different when I do all that, does that mean I'm already banned? I really don't know what I should do, I couldn't do this any earlier, why don't they give a notice a bit sooner

err biba you might of wanted to um color out your account name there >_> but anyhow . .look at the top left where it has your account name. Under that you'll see two buttons one on the left with gungho ID . .and Under that another one that says gungho ID. if you hover over that you'll see the addy link to personal information or something like that. Click on that button ..

but oh yea that page you're seeing in the screenshot is the new TOS for gungho that you need to accept. They changed it a couple months? back or something and we had to login to gungho and click the accept button.

and I totally forgot which one was the accept button . .you just need to check that you accept then click the button . .it was in one of these threads but I can't remember which . .maybe registration .. I'll go look.

well, I don't know what the kanji for my name is, :?

Do we have to fill in our address in Kanji or is romanji fine? I mean, can I just write my address like I always do or do I have to transcribe it?

You can go through 4-1 'fairly fast', as well as through 4-5 and 4-6, but you'll need one or two teammates to really go fast enough.

If you want I can help you the coming days when I'm on. (And if we're not all banned that is...)
