Glitched thumbnails.

Post by Aizawa » Thu Dec 04, 2014 9:15 am

This has been happening a lot lately, and I've seen a couple other users complain about it as well. Some of the thumbnails will not show up. It will be a blank box with an X in it, and refreshing and switching browsers doesn't help.

Examples:

http://e-shuushuu.net/image/690934/

I will update this with new links. Also, the image does load when you click it the full resolution, it just seems the thumbnails are not working on some images.

I'm not sure does it fit here, but I have problems with forum as well, alongside with 'could not connect with database server's and thumbnails aren't loading.
Anyway, most of time I try to do something on forum, I get this;

Return to index page
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Too many connections [1040]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

Seriously, what is going on with e-shuushuu today?

I'm not really getting forum errors as much since yesterday, so I guess the owner fixed it.

Maybe moderators, since administrator is not active anymore, I think.

Anony might not post, but he logs in frequently.

Anyways, I think the forum errors and the faulty thumbnails that I found were related, since I have no problems with both right now.
Aizawa-kun's links still have broken thumbnails tho D:

Today in the morning everything worked just fine.

Now I'm getting errors again, and that makes uploading images really hard.

It's plaguing the moderators too and we have no way to work on it. It really is up to the sight admin to get things straight unfortunately. :(

'nony made an update to mysql maxconns on the 10th or 11th or so which doubled the number of available connections. These are the usage stats for around the 10th:

Code: Select all

day requests
05 1857091
06 1963340
07 1407628
08 1712033
09 1720332
10 1683370
11 1696933
12 1723776
13 2213461
14 2301325
I'm thinking about implementing a firewall rule to allow max connections per IP of 10 or less with reasonable exceptions, eg. school proxy with many users.
