Tag suggestion

I think "mecha" might be a good idea. It does cover something unique and prevalent (if not related to the girls :P).
I also rather like "surprise". There's nothing else that covers it.
No opinion on the footwear. I know "boots" was rejected in the past though.

Well, if we had boots, also needs sandal, sneakers, mary jane, high heeled and more that type that I can't remember. It's the argument which was brought up against it.

...but then again, we have "jacket", but no "trench coat", "hoodie", "vest", or "sweater". And a similar argument could be made about having "thigh highs" but not "socks" to go along with it.

I think the lack of precedent or affine instances shouldn't be an undermining issue, as long as the tag covers an trait / characteristic that users would like to have as a search reference.

Well, "socks" is ridiculously redundant. Aside from images with "barefoot" (or sandals), everyone wears socks (or boots).
And a tag broken up into smaller tags doesn't relate to this tag suggestion, so your point is moot. :D

But I still don't have an opinion on footwear.
If the tag gets added, fine, I'll help tag it, but I don't love it, and I'm [likely] not going to seek out images with it.

And I'm not trying to sound mean or anything with ^, but I believe in the power of logical organization. \>.</

Alright, I thought about several more tags that could work.

"piggyback" tag, for those with people being carried (mostly found in couple images). Since "carry" tag would apply to that and carrying items such as bags, I think "piggyback" might do better.

"tsundere" tag, for the images with angry, blushing girls (Taiga, Haruhi, Kagami, Mio, etc.)

":<" tag, for those pouty type upside-down V shaped expressions that are "half :3" ish.

"shock"/"surprise"/"omg" tag, for the funny images with clear "wtf?" on their faces.

Also, "tsundere" = "blush", "angry" from your description, so no.
":<", no, smiley is not known enough to be a tag.

And for animal tag... I think that it joins the footwear talk. I think it's not a discussion on the tag itself which is needed but the system.

I don't know if this tag has been suggested,but maybe a "text" tag??It includes any text,as long as it's not watermarked.Some examples of text can be in "4koma" or sometimes in a "wallpaper" when there's a character to the side of the image,there is usually a phrase.

The "Fresh Pretty Cure!" one I can understand,but "Vampire Knight" one isn't so bad....o_O but as I had said before,I'm not very good at creating tags....I feel small ._.

I would like to suggest "hakama" tag.

Well it's another type of traditional clothing worn mostly by graduating girls, girls practicing specific martial arts (kyudo, kendo). Visually quite different from kimono. I think there are enough suitable images to cover it.

I've been wondering... why do we have a "princess" tag, but nothing for a queen? The Queen of Hearts for example. Why not an all around "royalty" tag? Or a "crown" tag for someone who may not actually be royalty but is just wearing a crown?

I remember wanting to change that tag to "royalty", but by lack of input, it never concluded to anything.

I don't see any problem with an "heart", "bird", "hakama" tag.

"Holding hands"/"Hand-holding" tag? It isn't the same as "couple", as you can see many girls holding hands without being in a relationship...
