I use the "studying" tag a lot, for classroom images and the like, so I disagree that it is useless. As for the "sad" tag, I don't think deleting emotion tags is a good idea. There are a lot of images with a character crying and smiling, so it's not like crying is synonymous with sad. And people may want to look for sad characters. As for "teru teru bozu" it's something typically Japanese and I feel like it does have a place on an anime image board.
If you want to help tag images and there are a lot of images to be retagged however, don't mass report. Contact a tagging team member and see when they can do it, as Evangeline instructed Amlerisa on
this image.

My point was not that the sad tag is useless - it's completely opposite. I actually really like the tag but the fact it's so often forgotten should bring some concern over here.
Also for mass reporting, I wouldn't do that. Won't message a tagger about it or anything as well. Taggers should be checking forums, especially this topic because it means more work for them if the tag is added and should discuss them, so I'm hoping those images will be fixed without me having to message anyone.

I agree with Biba about not deleting those certain tags, along with her reasoning.
Just because not many images pertain to a specific tag doesn't necessarily mean it should be scrapped altogether. If people
are realizing that they are being forgotten then they should make full use of the report system for that as long as it's not a bombardment. Theme tags are annoyingly overlooked by taggers enough as it is, so we do appreciate the help from regular members since there are only so many of us.
The "sad" tag can be a bit tricky sometimes. I went ahead and tagged all the ones Sara pointed out except for this one since it looks (to me) like she's smiling, not sad:

I also wouldn't mind a "sneakers" tag.
I'll take this opportunity to suggest a tag as well. How about "paw gloves" as a child tag to "gloves"?

I've been wondering, why don't we have knife tag? We have
"sword"
"gun"
"polearm"
"bow and arrow"
and even though bow and arrow is in tag description

Adding a "knife" tag would be great. I'm all up for "paw gloves" as well; I always feel a bit conflicted whether the "gloves" tag really fit those kind of images.
I would also want to suggest a tag that I have been thinking about for a while; a "bubble" tag, for either images with bubbles flying around:

I really like the idea of a "knife" tag, but I can see a potential problem with it: it can be also used as a kitchen utensil, so should it even be parented under weapon?
"Bubble" tag seems nice, we have a tag for rainbow (which is... okay, vaguely related), so why not bubbles?
"Paw gloves" also sounds nice, and could be tagged on a lot of "animal suit" images.

I saw danbooru using one same tag for both kitchen knife and knife as a weapon. I see no reason to separate them, as long in description is written that tag should be used for both cases.

If no one is against it, I'll add "knife" and "bubble" tags because I do feel like those would be useful in many cases.
I would also like to suggest a "blanket" tag. We have "bed" and "pillow" but I've encountered several images with just a blanket.

Heeeey gurl hey. ;o I'm still fine with knife and bubble, and I support blanket 100000000%. May as well get the entire bed set. Seriously though, I think blanket is super handy and common enough, so I'm fine with it.

I am pretty neutral about "paw gloves" - I am not against creating it if more users find it usable, but in the same time I wonder if it isn't too specific.
As for wolf, no one suggested it for such a long time, as wolf images seem pretty common, and we even have "ookami mimi" tag, but not "ookami".
I am all for it.
