Original content?

So, I'm new to this site. n_n" (Please spare me) I was wondering if the image board is open to Original Content? I don't want to post other peoples artwork, is it accepted if I only post my own? Next week (if it is accepted) I will start posting. I need to get my new laptop first. :3 Please help! <3333

Though generally the users who draw tend to post their work in the drawing topic rather than on the main board.
I'm too scared to put my work there (lol) and prefer to get con-crit here anyway
