The kanji reads as "e-shuushuu" (well... with the furigana, anyway), and more specifically means e/ii = electronic/electric, shuushuu = collection. Nya.

On another note, I wanted to use this:

but I remember reading that the formats of the three pictures should be the same, and I didn't want to change my other ones to GIF. Is this still true, or could I have a couple of PNGs and a GIF?

Hmmm, doesn't é›»æ°— read as 'denki' as in electricity? I never thought of that interpretation of e-shuushuu. I had two meanings in mind when I named the site: one is only Japanese with 'E' as in picture and 'shuushuu' as in collection. The other is a mix of Japanese and English with 'e' as in e-mail and 'shuushuu' as in collection. Anyway, I'm not familiar with é›»æ°— being read as 'ii' but if you can confirm that is correct, I'll add it as is.

You could search the imageboard for images. Just browse the 'chibi' tag or do a search for 'cute' on post content -to see what most people think is cute.

Alrighty, this banner has been added with the animated right side. I chose to use the non-animated middle image. I think the middle animated one is good, but I think the constant flashing might get distracting >_<

To honest, it looks very plain as a couple of my ideas back fired but I'm interested in ur opinions and any recommendations if nescessary.

PS: Does it matter if it saved in png or jpg format?

I like the simplicity of this banner, but I noticed on the widescreen example the middle one looks like it has an abrupt cutoff from the light green background to the white non-imaged background. Was this intentional? Also, try using a more creative font for the text =P

Thanks for the banner. The first one is pretty good

The only thing I see that I think could use some improvement is the 'kawaii image board' text under e-shuushuu. It's somewhat hard to read against what's-her-name's feet. Maybe a different color/shade or less shadow? Fix that and I'll happily add it.
As for the second one... I can't really say I like the animated middle part. I think that repeating over and over might get annoying after a while >_<
