My banners are too simple compare with others, i'm running out of idea already.
It's nothing more than "Crop > paste the fonts > tweak the layer blend mode" >_>

Both banners aren't mine, Gicchan is the author and both are actually duplicates XD
the original should be the Ika Musume and Rainbow Luka banner if i recall correctly.

Cropping, adding text and some effect is hardly satisfying, I know that feeling, and I'm staying away from doing so.

My best ideas are those I get before sleeping ( then I don't sleep lol ), or sometime in public transport.

i really think it depends on the banner maker and the image;
sometimes I just can't imagine using too much effects on a banner, because in my eyes it looks good as it is and anything else might ruin it;
so if you like how your banner is atm, i suggest don't touch it -w-
nobody says your banner is bad, just because it doesn't have a ton of effects added on it

Rather than complexity, you should think in term of composition.As long as the result is harmonious, it can be empty or full of details, it will be the same.
