Great skin, but I'm having a few problems getting the winamp part to work I think.

Did you specify the winamp folder?

Image

Just change that to where your winamp is located... either that or it might not be compatible w/ the winamp ver. >_< ;;

Well controls work fine except for the power button on/off. Or is that used for something else?

Hmm, ..=/
I think the winamp switch only turns on the winamp. Pressing it again, brings up the winamp from minimized status, it doesn't exit it...

Well it's been a while since I"ve done a rainmeter so I decided to do this one. though I didn't do anything grand >_<

You can find it on my rainmeter page

http://amfest.org/7am/?q=node/9

I was thinking of adding more into the window . .but I just used normal text and didn't get much in there :/ I could always add another drive and graphs for up and down speeds .. but more hidden meters will take up more cpu power.

Myu-chan you make me very sad ;_;

by saying that it means you haven't even bothered looking at the one tutorial I made for rainmeter. I made a thread in Image/Art Discussion and no one replied to it.

http://e-shuushuu.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=333

I never made anymore tutorials cause no one replied with interest but the 1st tutorial goes over how to create a background and place images. If you understand that you should be able to find how to change the images.

Though I must warn you. IF you open a solwyern created rainmeter you're in for a nightmare as solwyern doesn't do clean creations but edits current ones and adds in new codes from other rainmeters. Copy and paste slap together jobs that do get the job done but create a coding nightmare of code that could be outdated and useless. A few of my first attempts were like this also though >_< I think everyone starts out this way :D. The idea though is to understand why you do it this way and such. Sadly since rainmeter can't be handled due to time by the programmer there isnt' a forums for it anymore and it appears the old forums where you could at least view old questisons asked and solutions has diappeared also. :( I'm sorta sad about this cause now I have to try and reinvent the wheel again.

Well if there is enough interest I might make more tutorials on how to add in measures and meters though maybe not go over every aespect like I did with image placement. I think I added a bit too much detail there on what each option does. Maybe I can make some small segments on how to add in each type of measure and simple displaying of it. Then later after those mini tutorials I could create a tutorial of putting them all together and how to organize and make them do what you want.

lol while looking for Volume control for rainmeter code solwyvern I ran across your thread for the nanoha rainmeter that you posted at animesuki .. I believe you posted their before us. I feel sad :(

Anyhow I've been trying to work with the volume control so that instead of clicking hotspot buttons or what not you can just click a single button to raise and lower volume. ..which can be used also for fwd and rew but the only problem i'm seeing is that it doesn't stop at 255 volume .. it loops over . .also it gets off cause if it flips over it counts the 0 so if I go by 10s . .when it flips over it'll be at 4. So far I havne't been able to figure out how to stop it from looping. I tried maxvalue=255 but it still passed it over. I think i'm going to have to set an action that when it reaches 246 it disables the regular add and unhides a meter to just click to get to 255. And then if the volume drops below 146 it'll enable the original add and disable the max 255 one. I'm not sure if that will work though. Knowing my luck it won't >_<. I suppose it's not too big a deal. I can also add hotspots to the volume display bar to do 0/halfway/max jump I suppose. Though to make the button pushing a bit spiffy in execution I had to lower the update time overall . .meaning when I add this to a full rainmeter skin with various meters .. I'll have to put an updatedivider on them or suffer resource hit from rainmeter trying to update faster than 1 second >_>.

There is a program I could ship with the skin that would make it work out better and it woudlnt' be limited to winamp . .it'd be system volume control .. only issue with that . .is the user would have to drop it into their windows folder I think it was. Not sure if it can be dropped anywhere else. Been a while.

if anyone has any suggestions about this or a skin with a good example of what I want let me know please. So far I've only seen click the button to get to a spot sorta thing. Though this works I'd rather just have 1 up and down button for getting closer to volumes you want.

Anyhow I think i'm about finished with testing out basic winamp stuff and understanding how it all works. So within the week I'll be creating the winamp rainmeter tutorial. Though I have to work this weekend .so for the next 3 days dont' expect anything from me most likley >_>.

Here's my attempt at having volume increased/decreased by 1:

http://rapidshare.com/files/36213174/Volume_Test.rar

The two blue/purple dots next to each other are for volume, decrease on left, increase on right. I tested a lot of situations, and it seems to work well.

Issues: if you have the Update high enough, a strange bug comes about. If you press increase and then quickly press decrease (or vice versa), they both use the original volume value. So, assuming the volume is 50, you press decrease to 49, and then rapidly press increase. The volume will be 51 instead of the expected 50. I wouldn't expect this to be that much of a problem, though.

The skin I added this into was more or less a test skin; please forgive the extraneous lines (it's amusing to watch ^_^).

yea I used the calc measure like that also. but I do it by 10s cause its still rather slow and bothersome to raise the volume alot with button hits. I think personally 100 is too low .. the constant update can bog ya down eventually if you multitask a bit. You'd have to use diable measure alot for things not in view and remember to put in update divider.

but I notice you have the button display at 266 and such . .nice job there .. i'll have to look at it late r. .gotta run to work
