I suppose this goes here.
I suppose this goes here.
I'm not quite sure how many folks are actually interested in the goings on of my life, but I suppose this is kind of a biggie, so for those who don't know..
Tomorrow, 4 May, I leave for a 4 month TDY to Afghanistan. I know a few folks around here know, but for those of you who don't, it tis what it is. So.. in the meanwhile, be nice to the mods who aren't going on a deployment, be nice to anon, watch for reposts, and don't party too hard when I'm gone
Cheers, J.

Wow AnimeJ! I hope you have a safe duty tour there.
It is my philosophy that when one goes TDY/Gets Deployed/Activated from Reserves or anything or the sort, they should take at least some of the extra money and buy something special with it. Whether it is just a box set of DVDs that you have been putting off buying or a nice new computer moniter or whatever you want/can afford. I think it is nice to have something related to your experience and time served.
I could get into a long drawn out story on why I believe that and my personal experiences with it, but this isn't really the place. haha If you would like to know, feel free to pm me.
Hope your time there goes as smooth as possible. Drink plenty of water! (But not the mineral kind or you risk kidney stones) Will be looking forward to your return. ^_^
