I seriously cannot keep up with the board anymore >_<
I generally lag behind for a week and play catch-up all on one day.
So, I think it's time to recruit another moderator. Currently, it's just me and AnimeJ and I know AnimeJ is also quite busy.
Anyway, the point of this post is to determine the new mod. I will let the users voice their opinion and tell who they feel would make the best moderator. I have a few people in mind, but I want to know what the actual users want first

So, feel free to nominate some users you think would do a good job at moderating. Please consider your nomination before naming them! Also, the nominees must be willing to take on the job (of course:))

BTW, the tasks/privileges of being a mod are roughly as follows:
-Keep an eye out for dupes and remove them as needed
-Ensure users follow the rules
-Remove unwanted, rule-breaking, or illegal material -_-;
Powers are:
-Deleting/deactivating images
-Banning (oh noes!) users
-Editing posts and profiles
-Various other cool things
Oh yeah, I reserve the right to remove mod status from anyone (So, if you're elected, better behave)

Mhhh... I think I can free up some time on most days, although I do have a regular job and I have no experience with moderating at all... Plus, I'd have to adjust my view of what's too echhi for the board.

But I like e-shuushuu and its community so I'm willing to help anony and AnimeJ in any which I can.

As much as I feel happy that people would think that I'm worth mentioning in my heart I think there would be others that would be better suited. I've known the pains and dedication Mod'in and Admin type jobs take. I've done the Admin and Mod thing on chat's and a p2p server . . and been mod and admin of a forum and wow does that just eat away at you .
I think my biggest fallback for mod'in here would be that I haven't gone through every image that shuu shuu has. The fact that I don't currently view images, for the most part, unless they have comments on them. I come home from my 12 hour shifts and pull up shuu shuu . . view kawaii images ^^, make comments, view kawaii images, save images, view kawaii images ^^;;, and then watch hours of anime Not to mention that I've been picking up my guitar more and have been getting together with fellow musicians again so I can finally play shows again. So though I think I could maybe do some I don't think I'd do enough to justify a moderator position.

With that said I'll throw up my suggestions:

Though I wonder if an archive section could settle down at least the dupe situation. Main board can only hold so many images before they roll off and the mods just handle verifying they aren't dupes and adding them to archive while filling in info if possible. Mods should be required to maybe download all images in archive to a dir so they can flick through to see if any image hasn't been added with ease. Then we wouldn't have to see constant image disabled throughout the board. Just a thought thought. Although after this many images already . . might be a big chore to even get the whole thing setup and running XD

I'm very grateful for my nomination and I'll most certainly do my uttermost best if I were to become moderator, but for now, I'll just keep my enthusiasm to myself. XD

In any case: I would like to nominate Smithy and Solwyvern. They have both been around for a long time and have presented themselves as respectable members, in how they post on the board and also in knowledge of anime/manga (the latter does not really count if you look at them as moderators...but it's a nice to have anyway XD)

@Nemesis: I just don't like ecchi/useless fanservice. Simple as that.
