Okay, memory question!!!

What was the first Anime you've ever watched?

Mine is Sailor Moon. One of the best memories I have of it is when my sister's and I played pretend as the Sailor Scouts. I was always Jupiter or Mercury, depending on if my hair was short or long. LOL (I guess my sisters always had long hair.) We were running around in the front yard, yelling, and dancing around all crazy. Who knows if we had an actual story going on? haha I was like 8.

My very first anime would have to be Candy Candy, but i don't remember anything from it xD
I just know i really liked the art =u=
Later on I watched anime on German channels - DoReMi, Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Monster Rancher (oh how I miss it ;u; ) and many more;

& omg!
We used to play Sailor Moon too!
At that time I was so in love with Ami, i kept playing as her all the time~! x3
later on i somehow started liking Minako more O.o *shrugs*

but officially the first anime that I KNEW was anime and I looked for it myself was Mermaid Melody :lol:

Hehe, my first anime was Pokemon!...or maybe it was Dragonball Z....or maybe Sailor Moon....?

Haha, I know it was one of those three that were my first! I was obsessed with Pokemon and DBZ (still love them both dearly) . I remember coming home from elementary school and waiting for the Toonami block to start on Cartoon Network. Such good memories.

My childhood animes were: DBZ, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Rurouni Kenshin, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, Kiki's Delivery Service (it played on the Disney channel and I fell in love), and Inuyasha. XD I remember watching Inuyasha on Adult Swim and I felt like I was doing such a horrible thing, because that was the time for "adults" to watch tv. XD I would always quickly change the channel if my Mama came into the room. Lol.

I can't even remember when I learned what anime was. Probably with G Gundam I found out. XD

hmm.. I was staying over at a cousin's house one summer and got bored. They had a bunch of vhs tapes around and so I decided to watch one. And then I saw Vampire Princess Miyu OVA, and the story really touched me. I still remember how sad I was for Miyu because she was doomed to hunt shinma for the rest of her unlife. They also had Robot Carnival and the first Ranma 1/2 movie O.O

First anime I knew was anime was Card Captor Sakura. Already into cute girl at 12 years old fufufu. First manga was Dragon Quest.

Otherwise, when I was 4 to 10 maybe, there was Sailor Moons, City Hunter, Dragon Ball Z, Captain Tsubasa, Haisukuuru! Kimengumi, Ranma 1/2, Nadia and the secret of Blue Water, Princess Sarah, Saint Seya, Galaxy Express 999, Hokuto no Ken, Attacker You!, Orange Road, but thanks to awesome French title and op/ed, you wouldn't know the source xD

The first anime I watched was Digimon, followed by others such as Monster Rancher, Escaflowne, Medabots, Shaman King, and basically anything that was on Fox Kids, Fox Box, and the like. Ah... Nostalgia...

Okay everyone, how about memories of your first anime convention?

Mine was Anime Expo in Long Beach. I went with a group of five people. I had so much fun, I've gone to it for four times! It's the only one I've gone to. I want to go to different ones, but I don't think any of them could top AX.

I went to a one help in Tampa's center. I bought some Code Geass there. I was alone, though, since none of my friends like anime. I met some cool people, though. I hung out was a Metal Gear Solid Snake and Syanoran from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. They had a live action chess match which was pretty cool.

I actually used to hate the anime scene. I knew my wife since fifth grade and I actually used to pick on her until junior high school. She was into anime. When we dated in eighth I watched a few. I think my first was Elfen Lied.

Then she made me my own character Aizawa Avois and I got into it. I attempted to dress up as him for ToraCon. ToraCon was funtastic.

my first con was in 2008 and i was freaking out, because it was full with people and the place was rather small... i met lots of great people there and i even came across a few people who i actually met a few years later and are now best friends of mine <3
also, i won the art contest that year ;u;

Mine was this terrible, tiny convention that happened to be near my house. Not very fun, I have to say. I want to go to a big convention sometime, but everything is far away and expensive!
