Grml, having to step in. Guess what, I buy my artbook and doujinshi from Japan, it's not cheap (!), quite a bit more than getting it from France, yet I have scanned some, said that it was my scan, uploaded, and be done with it. Be sure that everyone was eager to post them on other board but I have no interest into spamming other board to say that it was scanned by me and not to repost. What you bought is a book. Values come from the paper, ink, manufacture, and what the creator thought was worth for a copy of the artwork. You NEVER bought a license or the copyright.

Aside of E-shuushuu's rule, which has no say about a scanner policy, you are on the Internet. You already denied the copyright of the artist, but you are expecting others to withhold as much? It doesn't work like that. You are just a half assed scanner who can't even understand the consequences and take the responsibility of her own act. By scanning and distributing, you have already entered the digital frontier where everything is just a copy. If you don't want people to post elsewhere, just don't upload ever again on the Internet, otherwise cease this foolishness of "self scan, no repost". It's a lost war, and the moderators have no interest into someone's little self indulging policy.
