Official planning for the novelized version of E-ChuuChuu ~Hidden Intentions~ began on 22 Apr 2008. The series is expected to span a number of volumes, with each volume focusing on the story from a specific character's perspective. It has yet to be determined exactly how many different volumes will be written, but there are expected to be more than five at the least.

While the timeline, plot, and structure organization are all still under development, the first volume is currently being written and is expected to have a Fall 2008 release with the other volumes following shortly behind it.
