Would go for something like speakers too?

Yes and No.
Speakers are generally on Music-Related images. However, there are some that are simply Loud Speakers in Classroom images, which I don't believe should be tagged with "Music Player" when they clearly aren't. If the speakers are used in a Musical Setting (ex. Someone Singing, Someone Playing Music, ect), then I would say yes. However, if it's a loudspeaker in a Classroom, Train, ect, then no.

However, this is just my opinion on the subject~ I don't think inclusion of "Speakers" is entirely necessary, however it's up to you to decide what you think this tag should include. I believe that there is more than enough Mp3/CD/Record/Tape/Radios on images to just focus on those, though. n_n

Sketching and drawing would go under the "artist" tag.

You know, I thought of something that would've been a good idea.
Don't shoot me if someone else brought it up before, though.

What about a tag called "artist request" or "requesting artist"?
If you think about it, it speaks for itself (so people don't have to keep asking) and it can be quite useful.
I know of other image boards using this and I often search the tag to look for images I recognize so I can tag the properly with the artist name.

I know it might seem "late" to do this now (seeing as there are probably a lot of unidentified images), but Shuu^2 is here to stay and it will be very helpful in the future. It also makes the user feel better when posting art they don't have the artist name for, because sometimes people might think "Are they too lazy to add the artist name?"

Similarly, maybe add a tag for "source request" or "requesting source"? Although, this might not be as necessary as the other one since people are very good at recognizing unidentified characters in art.

Anyway, back to the first suggestion: Since users usually find the images on Danbooru or Pixiv & the like, most of the images already have the artist name there, but that's a good thing because then there will be less images without artists, aaand then there is a higher chance for people to recognize the work. At least that's what I think.. less pages to browse too, people will want to use the tag to see how they can help.

I agree with this idea. It's not easy to find every picture's artist. Even with Pixiv (I have to use Google Translate which is often wrong compared to the ones registered on the site), Gelbooru, Danbooru, and 0chan. Even imagesearch engines like TinEye, SauceNao, and IQDB aren't always helpful.

On one hand, it's a good idea. On the other, the same thing can be done by running an advanced search with "no artist" checked. ...which I think is technically only for taggers/mods at the moment. ;;

It is also not really along the lines of what we want our theme tags to be.
Themes from within the image, not things completely on the outside of the picture itself.

I also think that sort of thing promotes laziness.
But that's beside the point.

I'm against the creations of such a tag.

Just ask via a PM. Taggers who do the artist tags and are on almost all the time would be me, Mistuya, Hopeful_Encounter, Isoroku, Mary.Yume and Butterfly Illusion. From the mods there's Endorphine, My master (Yong), Julia and Yatchen.

Also, "they are too lazy" .... well.... doing it all the time is no fun, so yes we become lazy at some point. Other reason: personal life. One has to study, one has to work. Or one plays games, etc.

So .... I'm against this. + what At-chan said about that "no artist" thing.
I asked RockRabbit to test that.
edit: Normal members don't have those options.

I've been meaning to bring this back for a while now so here it is.

I want to re-suggest "polearm" weapon tag. It can cover wide palette of these weapons like spears, javelins, scythes, pikes, lances etc.

In mean time I tried to find alternative term for this type of weapons since it's not common but unfortunately I wasn't able to find any alternative name for it. (T_T)

Old examples + new ones:

I don't know o3o
I never tag a knife with "sword". 'cause it's not a sword lol.

Polearm ... weapon ..... well I'd agree only if you'd go through all / most / half of the weapon images on Shuu to find them.
Also, a staff is not a wand =_=

I want to suggest a generic "bag" tag, with "school bag" as a child tag for it.

It'll be a bit hard to find examples considering we don't HAVE that tag, but... here goes.

http://e-shuushuu.net/image/373756/
http://e-shuushuu.net/image/372573/
http://e-shuushuu.net/image/368569/

These are all uploaded by me--I went through some of my previous uploads to find examples.

Also, what happened to the "family" tag? Too difficult for people to understand what it meant (such as, tagging an image with just a group of random friends or something)?

softfang: We decided it was confusing and not used enough while creating the Quick Tag Reference, so we deleted it.

Iso: Oh...blehhh if "polearm" could have a "spear" alias or something else more commonly used, I guess it might be okay.

I do not approve of creating a tag for something as general as a "bag". That's like creating a tag for "shirt".

Here's another tag called "obentou". "bento" for short.

It is a napkin box lunch.

For more info, here is a link to know what it is if you know already.

The "food" tag pretty much covers it.

@ At: Spear. Hmmm... I'm still wondering why a "scythe" tag wasn't made yet. Creating "spear" and "scythe" and aliasing them to "polearm"?
And what about a "bow" tag? As in the weapon. I had to give up searching Shuu for images with girls using or carrying bows because the "weapon" tag covered everything.
