"wariza" (sitting with the legs in the shape of a w)? Though I guess that means you'd have to make "sitting" tags, I guess.

I believe that "matsuri / festival" would be a good tag addition. Although I'm not too sure about the "wariza" tag, partly for the reason you pointed out, softfang, but also because many people may not know what "wariza" is or think of tagging it.

For "matsuri/festival", what would be the objective criteria to determine what is in the tag?

We already have "fireworks" and "kimono" which can be combined.

"surreal" tag. As described on danbooru, "Art, (and sometimes literature) that attempts to express the workings of the subconscious. Usually characterized by fantastic imagery and incompatible or inconsistent things placed together, resulting in a oddly dreamlike image or story."

Examples:

The idea itself is really good, but I think there would be problem with marking the border whether something can count as surreal or not.
I guess this tag would bring only confusion to most of users...

This is not a suggestion for a new tag, but rather, to rename an existing one

http://e-shuushuu.net/tags/108443 uses the name "Takasaka Koun" for the pink-haired character in the visual novel "Alive"

I found her entered on Visual Novel DataBase: http://vndb.org/c20239.1

The kanji it gives for her is 高坂 久遠 which is romanized as "Kousaka Kuon"

Furthermore, a character in the sequel to this game called Milkway (also by Witch) is at http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?sh ... arid=37144

The kanji it gives for her is 高坂繭 romanized as "Kousaka Mayu"

Also I would like to suggest a link be updated at http://e-shuushuu.net/about/tags/

Under "creating new tags" it says "this thread" and links to this locked thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=467

Where it should probably link to the current one here.

^ woah, i got all mixed up in that character...two different names in each game?

also, i REAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY think a teal hair/eyes tag is needed...we have tons of Miku and other images that one just sits and wonders if they should tag as blue or green, when it's clearly teal or shade of teal ;c
and also i think pink eyes should become a child tag of red eyes, not an alias..

I think Julia's suggestion for a "scar" tag is good, as well as what RockRabbit said about the "teal" and "pink" eyes/hair tags.

I like the idea of a "cityscape" tag. Would it be a child tag for "scenic"?

That depends. Some cityscape pictures look like parkland or renaissance-style tourist attractions. However, others look like modern or futuristic cities composed entirely of skyscrapers or tall office building. Should those be considered scenic, like http://e-shuushuu.net/image/203789/? If not, then we can create "cityscape" as an independent tag.

"Scenic" images usually focus more on the composition more than the type of scenery being depicted. http://e-shuushuu.net/image/203789/ is not considered for the scenic tag because the characters are more of the focus than the city itself. Likewise, I think "cityscape" can apply to futuristic metropolis, contemporary, or more Gothic-themed buildings as long as we see a relatively large settlement in the image.
