I wanna suggest an up-to-date refresh of the little trivia bits in the upper right corner, above the shuu banner;
some of these are outdated (sadly Yacchan doesn't run around fixing people's messes anymore) and i think new ones can be added (like adding a link to the FB page, etc)

I have little idea!

Related to '1 in every 54,645 internet users visit E-shuushuu.net daily!' trivia.

I've did little math with worldwide population of internet users and ended up with number 55,554.
That number can be treated as theoretical amount of people who visit Shuu daily since amount of internet users continually changes.
Sounds good enough?

I like the 'Only 5% of e-shuushuu pays attention to these tips!" bid, that's funny. And the link to e-chuuchuu [Even though they still confuse me]. Maybe those can stay?

Maybe remove the Yatchen part because they are no longer a mod? Sadly. ..

I'm not sure what to suggest, really.

Oh, maybe the quick explanation of colored usernames can stay too?

As for what to add. .. I'm still thinking. Maybe add some silly things about the members here? That's be funny.

I don't really have any statistical data, but I'm guessing mods or anony do;
so my suggestions would be mostly little bits of interesting info like

- most rated/viewed/faved image
- most popular source/character (i actually remember seeing some sort of table with a touhou vs vocaloid popularity or something)
- as of date xx.xx.xxxx shuu has XXXX users/visits/sources/artists
- facebook page... yeah, boosting the popularity of that would be nice

- something-something...oldest registered user still active that isn't anony

- most active time of day
- number of banners in banner refresh atm
- most/least popular tag
- most popular artist
- person with most changed titles (if that is known)
- number of admins/mods/taggers
- things/features that were once part of the site but removed (i think we had something like views of image or something else..)
- aside from editing "person with most uploads", adding "person who faves most" and/or "person whose images are faved most" (altho it makes sense if having most uploads, you'll get most faves too XD )

aaand i'm out to work, but i will probably add more later, esp after i run around the wiki for some inspiration..
dunno, i think those are some fun little bits, then again i might be mistaken and it's just my damn curiosity speaking ; v ;

edit: some more!
- Images are judged on a case by case basis. (i think it's important to have that one on display, people seem to not know or forget that xD )
- a link to the tutorial page? dunno
- a link to the drawing topic to encourage users to post in it and bring more attention to the forum in general
- info bits and link to pixiv fetcher?

I was wanting to bump this, hehe. I hope you guys don't mind. I really like the examples RockRabbit gave in her post.

Specifically:
-Most popular image
-Link to the tutorial section on the Wiki.
-Most popular source, character, and artist tag.
-A link to the drawing topic.
-Update the record uploader [I believe Camelia is now? Feel free to correct me.]
-Images are judged case by case.
-The link to Shuu's Facebook.
-Link and number to staff.
-User with the most favorites

I think these things can stay [that's up to you guys of course]:
-Statistics of internet users who visit Shuu
-The password thing
-Explanation of colored names
-Where to submit banners
-Only 5% pay attention to these tips
-Link to Twitter.
-Thumbnail option
-E-chuuchuu

I find tw's post fascinating, but can't that change in a pretty short time?

Top 30 image posters, for example. (knows nothing about coding but still)
So, I like Rabbit's and Aizawa's ideas the most.

adding "person who faves most" and/or "person whose images are faved most" (altho it makes sense if having most uploads, you'll get most faves too XD )
