Fraud or not?

Post by Emii »

I wasn't sure what to name the subject, but if the current one is too direct, I can always change it.

I ran into this today and thought it was interesting.

I know that bunny-chan when I see that bunny-chan!

That bunny girl became so memorable to me that I was able to identify the art that was traced.
Come on, even the expression was kept the same..
What's your verdict? Fraud or not? >:3

Ok. I should stop saying that, haha.

Try overlaying the images on top of the other in Photoshop or Paint.net and change the layer type to Multiply or overlay and see how exact everything matches up. That's how the Tumblr users do it.

Kiss and tell, isn't it far from here to hell?

I'm not going to go that far, but I'm sure someone else will.
Even if the art's not traced, it's heavily referenced.

I'll go that far, since I already have Photoshop open anyway. ;3
Looks like a trace to me

While we're on the subject, I'm pretty sure this image http://e-shuushuu.net/image/676567/ is a trace of this one http://e-shuushuu.net/image/248741/
Here's some proof

Thanks for doing it, Hakuryu!
I wish I had the patience for that, haha.

Whoa, good eye too.
It seems tracing is a phenomenon that'll never be avoidable.

I don't think so.
There's a lot of traced art work thats passed the gates of Shuu, so it's fine.

I just thought this thread would be interesting to have so others can post their encounters with other traced art work.
