Sai costs money. Unless you're willing to run risk of cracking it. It's relatively cheap (A little more than fifty dollars) and is a nice small program.

If you want something free there's always openCanvas 1.1. Remember, it's not the program that makes the art. It's us as human beings so make the best out of whatever you choose and have. It's all about effort! c:

(@PowereD: Once I finish up the rest of my art homework I think I should make a full body image... or at least more of one than this monstrosity. xD;

Personally I enjoy inking over coloring because I feel like I am sloppy on it, hahah. I like to use the hard brush tool on varying opacities and with colors in between to help soften it up.)

Aummu.... Not like that... It's my habit that I left it in pencil/ sketch and I like it that way... It's not like I'm lazy enough to ink...

Hey Numbers, is the Sai prog. same with GIMP?? I have the GIMP prog. but I don't know how to use ink tool... Do I have rub out the sketch and darkened my illustration??

Oh one more thing... For everyone: What type of pencil do you use to draw?? Is it:

1. Old type pencil
2. Mechanical pencil

Just to make sure... :shock:

Well I wish I could help more but your sentences are kind of smash together oddly. xD;

SAI is NOT GIMP. It's its own program. You just use a different layer for the inking and make the opacity your sketch is on lighter. xD

What pencil do I use? Oh I don't use anything fancy-pantsy (unless it's art homework hahahaha), I just use a regular old 0.5 mechanical pencil. It's green. :> (Doesn't matter what kind of pencil you use~)

Sorry, I had a little headache when I ask... "I mean, does it have same step when inking any illustration?"... Yeah, that's what I meant... Sorry about that...

So, you're an art student huh? can I ask something? How can I prevent myself from pressing my pencil hard on the paper?? Cause I always press my pencil hard without accidently (or maybe without realising I'm doing that) and left some marking when I rub it off.. (It's a really stupid question)
