Well...I just tried an entirely new style of drawing/coloring.

Personified Amaterasu from Okami

It's also one of the VERY few times I've ever added some sort of background to a drawing.
(Okay, it's just a pattern...but that still counts as a background right?) xD

And patterns are so much more convenient than drawing a background
I always try to avoid anything proper *too lazy to try and draw/colour anything proper*

Let me just ask you two things before letting you say that... How long did it take you to make this ? -and- Did you use any reference ? Your first answer is the one I care the most about. If it's "less than 2 hours", then congratulations, you're better than me. ^_- Seriously. Sure, you'll look at what I did before and think it's nonsense. I'm getting somewhat good results when I draw. But that's because I can't get more than one character done in one month. And yet I can do naught without references. So if you did it even without a reference, then you should appreciate twice as much what you do.

Sure, it's not 'professional', but even the simplest drawings can turn into the most appreciable art around, as long as you can give it a natural feeling. And from what I see, it's pretty natural as long as you don't start looking in details. Though we can't help to criticize our errors, right ? ^^'

What's important is to be at ease with the way you're drawing. If you're not, then do your best, and be proud of what you did afterwards. And find what you have to change to be satisfied.

Be at ease though, it's lovely. Every time I get to look at it too carefully and start spotting what isn't 'right', I just have to turn away my eyes and look at it again, and it gets lovely again.~ That's what I meant by the 'natural feeling'.

Ok.... here is my new work yoyo~ It's Myu-chan (Violette) and myself(Hungary).
They don't really look like the characters but I wanted to put something of both Myuu and my style.
I really, really like the way Myu-chan came out. :''D I was actually going to use this image as a character sheet thingy... but I'm glad it came the way it did. :{D
