I think, you shouldn't try to draw the entire body because it is easier (in my opinion) to learn by mastering each part one by one.
When I was a beginner, I've been drawing only heads, then I went further and further.

P.S. Here's some another update ;)

that's what I did, I started with jsut head. At some point I added a little of the shoulder, then after I tried doing an half body pose.
When I got it more or less right I moved on to lower.

isn't the light a bit too strong?

Anyway, yesterday I tried to figure out how to do coloring on photoshop.. so many tutorial, so many posibilitys, not enough details, so much confusingness..

So in the end I did not color anything -.- I just drew something that expressed how I felt.

Nice :) So the next step will be shadows ?:)

About my previous entry. Yeah... the light on the left side is way too strong so this time I've made it less shiny ;)

Yes but I hit another block.. All tutorial indicate to pick a darker color to do the shading but.. they don't explain how they do to pick a darker colors. photoshop offer me so many different possibilities that I am uterly lost as to what to take. So I haven't done any shading yet. I may make a sketch of a girl holding a book intiteled "Shade Colors 101"
