Since the Netherlands are placed lower than sea level, I am confident that the dykes will hold, given that there is still continuous watch on the quality of them.

American written story about a "Dutch" boy and doing that. It's American folklore and it became a story that someone actually did it.

Okay Rock, I always under the impression that Bulgaria only had Goulash as traditional food. Could you share us some traditional Bulgarian dishes (possibly with recepies)?

Ah, Rabbit... I remember one of my lecturers (notabene, sworn translator to Bulgarian) mentioned something about Bulgarian having two dialects used in different parts of country, but didn't continue this topic. Will you be able to tell me something more about it? (^^)

Yup, from few days it is snowing there, and for the first time since beginning of winter the snow survived more than two days ^^;

I may be wrong about that, but I think I once heard that Italians consider as blasphemy eating pizza with ketchup? Or maybe it was about eating pizza with fork and knife? I am not sure anymore, but is any of those options true?

If I'm not wrong, the second one should be correct.
But now days, we all eat it 'modernly', grabbing pizza with tissue or papers. (^___^)

Oh, also, answering to David's questions:
I actually travel a lot during holidays, and I did travel from on to other end of Russia. I live in Asian part, though, from European part, I stayed few days in Moscow only. Others, I just "passed" them. (I travel to other countries, mostly Canada and Greece)

Russian breakfast? Ohoho!
Well, in Russia, you shouldn't expect some traditional meals for breakfast. Sandwich is very common for breakfast here, and we Russians love salami-style sausage. Rye bread and butter? Yes please!

It's an old tradition that is still kept in some villages from Hungary. On the day of Easter, men wash women in buckets of water.
Today, it's simply traditional to just spray women with perfume.
Funny, I still remember the simplest poem for it.
Yes, you have to recite a poem beforehand.
The simplest one goes like this (which I've learned, and still remember, and it's just the first verse of the actual poem):

Zold erdoben jartam,
Kek ibolyat lattam.
El akart hervadni,
Meg szabad-e locsolni?

As far as the translation goes:

I was roaming through a green forest,
I spotted a blue violet.
It wanted to wilt away,
May I water it?

Of course, this tradition, like many others, symbolizes 'fertilization'.

Hmm... Maybe not 'to many'... but yes, here are Romanians. I know a few near my place, they are really good people! (I especially I think that, because my best friend is from Romania, tough...)
