6 years of a Republican dominated government followed by 2 years of a president unwilling to compromise with an opposition Congress has help put us here, so as of right now I have no faith in the Republican party to fix things. Besides, I fail to see a problem with a socialist leaning government; we've already got several policies leading that way (including our current tax system - we're already taxed progressively).
