When a repost has a "first-party" watermark

Post by DoomTay »

Let's say you post an image that lacks a watermark of any kind. It stays there for a year or so

Now, you found the original version of the image as it first debuted on the Internet, and it has a watermark, and it becomes apparent that the initially posted version has had the signature/watermark/whatever removed by a secondary user.

Should the watermark-less one stay?

It wasn't obvious to me whether the watermark was originally part of the image or not, but I'm no photoshop detective. *shrugs* We don't have a policy for situations like this so I just went for the watermarkless image. I can change which one is set as a repost if you think that'd be better.

I would appreciate it. Hard to say how, but I think that would influence some matters outside of shuu.
