Finding the site completely by coincidence, I started using it and found it to be completely awesome.

I gave scenes Crowning Moments of Funny, Awesome and Heartwarming, I immediatly notice a Heel Face Turn (or a Face Heel Turn, for that matter) and, of course, I found out that the Computer Is A Cheating Bastard in MANY games.

TvTropes = lulz. XD

Of course it is!

I also found it by accident, while looking for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure pictures. The results led to an example of "Big Damn Heros" moment... from there, I started to read more about Jojo, and then I followed the links, and the rest is history.

Oddly enough, is also a quite useful for tool writers. Everyone should run an Mary Sue test on their characters; it really helped me before I turned an otherwise good character into it.

My favorite term is "MST3K Mantra".

Because whenever someone asks an illogical question about a show I always respond with the MST3K Mantra verbatim.

It's also the only possible way to enjoy some of the most awesome series out there.

Trying to find a logical explanation for everything related to Gurren Lagann only causes Wallbangers of Epic proportions. The same is true with Getter Rays... and G Stones... and Photo-Atomic energy... and almost every possible Super Robot power source.

The best thing to do is just relax and enjoy the Epicness. :)

They're no kidding when they say:

On the flip-side, it kinda saves time to learn from it about series you might not ever see. I've learnt quite a bit about Naruto from it... like, that the protagonist looks kinda cool at times.

Also, TV Tropes taught me that Nightmare Fuel can exist in anything...even TV Vanity Plates such as the Screen Gems S From Hell! After viewing a few of them myself I can see why, too.

I'd like to say: Damn YOU!
I have a nasty tendency to read this site for hours, and a nasty tendency to click on almost all the links I come by.

Well, TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life you know... Or worse, they already did it.

However, I'm convinced of the power of Genre Savviness, so the more tropes you assimilate, the better. But then, there's Death By Genre Savviness... And with With Great Power Comes Great Insanity, to boost!

By the way, thanks to There Is No Such Thing As Notability, you can find V_Phantom's profile here:

It's full of spoilers and probably Nightmare Fuel.

This one already applies to me.
