The Photoshop thread!
I googled it and it doesn't look like you can use the built-in revert function once the image was saved and closed. However, I've noticed Photoshop and Windows often create a ton of tmp files. Try and rummage through those to check if Photoshop didn't make a tmp file you'd be able to open and use... it's a longshot but it could be worth to check.solwyvern wrote:Anybody know how to recover/restore a file to it's previous state?
And, it may be but little comfort, but that has happened to me before as well... merging layers, saving and accidentaly/mistakingly closing...
Well I do mess around in Photoshop. Well actually I did so more in the past. I haven't made any wallpapers or anything. But I did make a couple of covers and lables for anime related series...
I can't say I'm good at it since I had to learn it on my own (and NO, I didn't use any tutorials (too much reading)) after failing big time for my Photoshop exams back when I was in school.
However I was lucky to find someone that helped me out a lot and that gave me a couple of good tips on how to make things look better. Anyway I can mostly do some correcting of bad images, but I'm not creatif enough to start working on a wallpaper.
So what's this thread about again? ^^

Will do so. I hope the "Learn the Basics" tutorial is easier to understand than the manual itself.
Change my fonts to.. what? :p
@Amfest
The cleaner it looks the better for me ^_^v
Guess I'll bug you about vectoring after I go through the tutorial.
Sorry the late reply.. and sorry my ineptitude with these things. Being a spanish lit. major doesn't help on understanding Pcs better.. har har *cries*

as for using colors .. I say just vector it . .don't worry about colors really at this point. Get your outlines setup and figure out where youw ant your basic shades to be then use shape vectors to color it out. it doesn't really matter in a sense what color at this point(just do a bunch of odd colors that don't look right so you can have it all seperated into sections). Then after you've set up y our colors all around just click on the shapes color sections and change the colors around till you're satisfied. Using this method you can easily make seperate copies of differnet colored outfits or a darker skinned version or lighter skinned version.

Hehe.... ^^; the thing is is that i really REALLY hate using vectors and i'm not very skilled at vectors.
I'm not really concerned about colours anyways, i was just more concerned about what kind of mood i wanted for this picture. Hence the reason why i was asking for help as to what background ideas people have for a picture like this; cuz different types of backgrounds affect the mood AND colour of the picture.
