This page is for E-Shuushuu team members, for tips on creating Source Tags.

Sources can be created by team members here.

  • Switch the Type to 'Source Tag'
  • The Source Title box does not require quotation marks; they are added automatically around the name when it is created.
  • In the description box, add the original title name (in the original language), followed by a dividing line (|) and:
    • a) A brief description of what the Source is, or useful link
    • b) If Virtual Youtuber, link to the YouTube channel
  • If there is no official English title, the source should use the Romaji.
  • When the source uses various names, the official English title should take priority as the primary tag, with the Romaji aliased to it. To make an alias of the Source, create a new tag to use as the secondary tag and add the name of the primary tag to Alias Of.
  • To make an child tag of the parent Source, create a new tag and add the name of the parent Source in Inherited From.
  • Ensure that the title is capitalised correctly to the best of your ability. For English titles, you can check here.

Translating Source Names

  • Titles translated directly from Japanese should remain in Romaji.
  • Hiragana is often used for Japanese words, and Katakana for foreign words, so if Katakana is used, it may need the English word.
  • See Translating Tools for useful links.

Wiki Pages for Sources

You can also create wiki pages for the Shuu Source if you have wiki access.

  • Use the exact name of the source as it is written on Shuu.
  • There are a variety of templates depending on the Source type, so use the one relevant to the original version of the Source, not the adaptations.
  • Aliases can be added as redirect pages by copying this.
  • If an Artist tag shares the same name as the Source tag, the Artist tag takes priority, as their Shuu tags link directly to the wiki. The Source of the same name should add '(Source)' after the title.
